A former tenant sued Greystar Management Services and a concrete contractor, alleging he was exposed to silica dust from concrete work, reported it to Greystar and OSHA (which fined the contractor more than $58,000), and was then evicted for allegedly 'photographing the vendors without consent.' Tenants said hundreds of swallows nest on Building 8 each spring, leaving droppings, dead birds and bird mites that they say enter apartments, and described unfulfilled promises from management. Greystar told 9NEWS its options are limited because the swallows are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and it is deterring nesting in compliance with federal law.
