In a feature on Atlanta apartment fires, Atlanta Magazine recounted the August 2020 Avana on Main fire that displaced more than 200 residents, and a now-settled residents' suit alleging an employee started it while working on rooftop HVAC units and that faulty fire alarms and expired extinguishers had gone unaddressed. The complex denied the allegations and settled with many residents; the residents' complaint (published by Law.com) named Greystar Management Services, L.P. as a defendant.
